Impact Of Man On Jurong Lake Park

Jurong Lake Park used to be clean and pollution free. But soon after, everything changed because the water that used to be clean is now polluted with all our litter and waste. There are people that are just too lazy to walk themselves to the nearest rubbish bin and they think that its okay to throw their litter into the water because it is convenient and nothing will happen.

The image below shows litter at the lake shore.

Many plastic bottles that are thrown away by us.

Conservation Efforts at Jurong Lake Park

Conservation efforts made by the authorities/park management officials at Jurong Lake Park:

  1. They made an effort to prevent park users from disturbing habitats by putting up warning notice boards.
  2. They are also trying to put more litter bins in the park to prevent park users from littering.
  3. The authorities had made an area specially for endangered trees to protect them and they cannot be harmed by any means.
The authorities are doing their part to safeguard the natural environment. They are effective but it would be meaningless if the authorities are doing their part to protect while park users harm. The authorities can try to put up notice boards and posters to remind park users of the need to protect Jurong Lake Park.
